Vision simulation software released at the ASCRS 2008 to increase LASIK conversion

Helping patients agree to laser vision correction is now much easier with the introduction of the LVC Counselor Software. Using any one of over a dozen high-resolution, real-life sceneries targeting a wide range of patient demographics, each patient will get a good understanding of what their life would be like after laser vision correction. Produced and distributed by Eyeland Design Network and Patient Education Concepts (PEC) the LVC Counselor will be showcased at the ASCRS 2008 April meeting. Its initial launch was sponsored by unrestricted educational grants from AMO, Alcon, CareCredit, Nidek, Schwind and Ziemer and will be available in 8 additional languages for international use. “The LVC Counselor is the perfect companion to today’s sophisticated laser vision correction procedures,” said Stephen Lane, M.D., adjunct professor of ophthalmology, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. >> Click
